There are over 350 National Vocational qualifications developed by NAVTTC (National Vocational and Technical Training Commission). The Qualification Development department of TTB Sindh may develop the vocational qualifications which are yet to be developed on National level. The qualification development procedure typically involves several key steps to ensure that the qualifications are relevant, valid, and meet the needs of learners and employers.
Qualification development process:
Needs Analysis: The process begins with identifying the need for a new qualification. This involves consulting with stakeholders such as employers, educators, and industry experts to determine the demand and relevance of the qualification.
Qualification Development Committee formation: The committee comprising the Senior Industry workers, Subject matter experts & Qualification developers.
Design and Development: This includes defining the learning outcomes, assessment criteria, and the structure of the qualification. The content is developed in collaboration with industry workers & subject matter experts.
Validation and Approval: The qualification is then submitted for validation. This involves a thorough review by an internal or external panel to ensure it meets the required standards.
Implementation and Monitoring: The qualification is then implemented, and its delivery is monitored to ensure it meets the intended outcomes. Feedback from learners and educators is used to make continuous improvements.
Review and Update: Qualifications are periodically reviewed to ensure they remain relevant and up-to-date with industry standards and practices. This may involve making changes to the content, assessment methods, or delivery mechanisms.
